Older drivers and rules of the road
It’s about time the authorities did something about older drivers. For too long they have caused havoc as they hog the right lane, stick to the speed limits (even at construction zones) and stop at stop signs, preventing others from doing whatever they like. By avoiding fines and demerit points, they do not contribute to the state revenue, putting an extra burden on younger drivers.
Until older drivers can prove they are proficient at weaving in and out of traffic, driving while texting, tailgating, using drugs or doing burnouts, they should be banned from driving.
