1 killed, others wounded in Gary shooting

GARY, Ind. — Authorities in northwestern Indiana say one man has died after several people were shot outside a Gary house.

The shooting happened early Monday on the city’s west side. WBBM-TV and WMAQ-TV report five other people were injured in the gunfire and that investigators marked numerous shell casings that were found along the street.

Information on the conditions of those wounded wasn’t immediately available.

WLS-TV reports the shooting happened after three people entered the house and a fight broke out.

The Lake County coroner’s office says a 22-year-old Gary man died from gunshot wounds.
