Wheeling Masonic lodge to hold spaghetti dinner

D.C. Cregier Masonic Lodge is serving up its annual spaghetti dinner from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, in Wheeling. Throughout the meal, Richie Shep will be performing some of the Rat Pack’s classic hits while guests dine on spaghetti and meatballs.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids. The lodge is at 417 Harvester Court. More information is available via their public Facebook Page (www.Facebook.com/WheelingFreemasons) or from Secretary Gail Adkins at (847) 736-3577.

Proceeds from the event will support the Illinois Masonic Children’s Home and D.C. Cregier Masonic Lodge. The members of D.C. Cregier are committed to providing birthday gifts for the boys sponsored   by the lodge, and Christmas gifts for all the children living at the Illinois Masonic Children’s Home, who otherwise would not receive them. Each year, the men of D.C. Cregier travel to the Illinois Masonic Children’s Home, located in LaGrange, delivering the presents.

D.C. Cregier Masonic Lodge 81 was founded in 1850 and has called Wheeling home ever since. In an effort to live by the Masonic teachings of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth, the organization serves the Children’s Home and provides scholarships to Wheeling High School graduates. Throughout the year, brothers enjoy fishing trips, celebrating Oktoberfest, and other fellowship activities. Meetings are held on second Thursday of each month. Men 18 and older interested in membership are welcome to visit and learn more about the organization before the meetings.
