Another MAC honor for NIU's Lynch

Northern Illinois University quarterback Jordan Lynch earned a his eighth Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor after leading NIU to a 33-14 victory over Western Michigan, league officials announced Monday.

Lynch's honor set a school record for league player of the week awards in a season, and is the 12th of his Huskie career.

Against WMU, Lynch broke his own NCAA record for rushing yards by a quarterback with 321 yards on 27 carries. He scored on touchdown runs of 29, 36 and 37 yards as he averaged 11.9 yards per carry.

He also hit Juwan Brescacin on a 10-yard touchdown pass as he totaled 360 yards of total offense on the night.
