Elk Grove Leos collect for Pet Food Drive
On Sunday, Nov. 10, members of the Elk Grove Leo Club assembled at President Marki Kaim’s home to conclude their fifth annual Pet Food Drive benefiting the Elk Grove-based Almost Home Foundation. The club collected more than 900 pounds of food and supplies for hungry dogs and cats.
On that same evening, the Elk Grove Leo Club held its annual anniversary and awards celebration at Black Steer in Elk Grove Village. The club received the Leo Club Excellence Award, while Leo Autumn Carney received the Leo Award of Honor in which club members vote for one Leo annually who they feel has contributed the most to the club. Leos are only eligible to receive this award once.
Elk Grove Leo Club President Marki Kaim received the 100% President Award. The award is given to club presidents who successfully manage their club for the calendar year by running meetings, fundraising, recruiting and participating in community service. The Leos also inducted four new members Mia Loxley, Abbey Edgeworth, Mackenzie Flannery and Atsuko Masuyama.
