Police seek help locating 85-year-old Aurora-area man

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 85-year-old man from Aurora Township.

Kane County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a house in the 0-10 block of North Farnsworth Avenue in Aurora about 1 p.m. Sunday for a report of a missing man.

According to police, Enrique Ruiz has been missing since Friday afternoon, when he didn’t return home from a walk in the Oakhurst Forest Preserve. Ruiz was wearing blue jeans, a blue jacket and a sweater of an unknown color. He stands 5’7” and weighs about 150 pounds, with gray hair.

Anyone with information on Ruiz’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
