GOP must get on the side of immigrants

Immigrants are in agreement with Republicans in the following areas: family values with a strong paternal family ties, a hard-work ethic, pro-life values and seeing children as assets, not liabilities. The mainstream Republican Party needs to look at the “illegal aliens” as their ancestors of four or five generations ago. As was the case 150 years ago, they took the jobs no Americans would take (look at today’s fast-food kitchens — two-thirds are immigrants).

Amusement parks use the thumbprint reader to admit repeat ticket holders. Put those devices at the borders. Let’s make it a condition to stay in the country that immigrants must not be felons: two convictions and you are deported, come back you will be put in jail.

Many of the illegal immigrants today are Eastern Europeans, Irish, Filipinos, along with the Hispanics and are overwhelmingly law abiding. The Republicans need to welcome them or never see the White House again.
