Einstein Academy sponsors Letters for Literacy

Submitted by The Literacy Connection

Einstein Academy, a private school in Elgin for academically talented students, became The Literacy Connection's first Letters for Literacy sponsor.

Letters for Literacy is a new fundraising effort that lets businesses and organizations sponsor a letter of their choice from the alphabet in exchange for a variety of benefits.

Sponsorships provide financial support for adult and family literacy programs that help nearly 300 adults each year. Sponsorship levels vary and are tax-deductible.

As part of the campaign kickoff, honorary sponsorships were given to ArtZings of Bartlett and the Gail Borden Public Library for 2013-2014.

ArtZings creates the recognition frames awarded to sponsors. The library has provided ongoing support to The Literacy Connection for many years.

The Literacy Connection serves 16 northwest suburban Chicago communities including Algonquin, Bartlett, Carpentersville, Cary, Elgin, South Elgin, East Dundee, West Dundee, Gilberts, Hanover Park, Hampshire, Hoffman Estates, Huntley, Lake in the Hills, Streamwood, and Schaumburg.

The agency provides customized one-on-one adult tutoring, English conversation groups, and family literacy programs. To learn more about Letters for Literacy, visit www.elginliteracy.org, email info@elginliteracy.org, or call (847) 742-6565.
