Thanksgiving theme for free community supper in Geneva

Submitted by United Methodist Church of Geneva

This month’s Free Community Third Tuesday Supper will feature a traditional Thanksgiving meal from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the United Methodist Church of Geneva, 211 Hamilton St.

The church is continuing its community meal, which is free to all, with no reservations needed, in the second-floor dining hall.

This annual guest favorite features roast turkey and gravy, dressing, mashed potatoes, a hot vegetable, cranberry sauce, rolls and butter and the popular dessert buffet.

Hot dogs and chips are available as an alternative meal.

Seven hundred meals will be prepared. Some substitutions may be necessary.

Diners may eat in the elevator-accessible dining hall or carry out their meal.

Anyone wishing to donate money to the supper program can do so by sending a check to the church office marked Third Tuesday Suppers, or donating in The Quiet Can on the beverage table on supper night. All funds received go directly to supper expenses.
