Holiday help and hope for our Heroes drive

A holiday help and hope for our Heroes drive has been organized by Fort Sheridan Place, in Highwood, to collect new or gently used winter coats, jackets, hats and gloves as well as non-perishable food and personal care items for homeless veterans.

During the month of November, Fort Sheridan Place management and residents are encouraging the public to join them in United Relief Foundation's Share the Warmth efforts bringing care, comfort and compassion to our Heroes this holiday season be dropping off a donation at the Fort Sheridan Place's leasing office at 634 Sheridan Road, 1A, in Highwood.

“Whether it is care, comfort or compassion giving works and the generosity generated by Fort Sheridan Place's involvement will have tangible, lasting differences in the lives of many veterans in need,” comments United Relief Foundation's President Frank Salato.

Clothing, food and personal care items donations will be distributed to more than 300 homeless veterans that are part of a lifeline of hope and help for over 800 homeless weekly.

Donations are tax deductible. Monetary and gift card donations will be used to purchase most needed items.

Based in Deerfield Illinois, United Relief Foundation is a volunteer driven 501 (c)(3) non-profit humanitarian aid organization providing America's Veterans, Military Members and Their Families with care, comfort and compassion.
