Villa Park baby arrives at 10 a.m. on 11/12/13

If Jennifer and Doug White ever needed a reason to play the lottery, it happened Tuesday morning during their birth of their third child.

The Villa Park couple’s newborn son, Joshua, made his lucky entrance into the world at 10 a.m. on 11/12/13 at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. He was born weighing 9 pounds, 13 ounces.

“Everyone thinks we should play the lottery,” Jennifer White said on Tuesday. “I’m going to tell my husband to pick one (ticket) up when he goes home tonight.”

White points out her son was supposed to be born one week earlier on Nov. 5. She said she didn’t believe the arrival could happen on 11/12/13 until late last week.

And when White went into labor at 3 a.m. Tuesday, she definitely wasn’t planning for it to last until 10 a.m.

In fact, she says, she didn’t think anything of it until people in the delivery room started to get excited because it was getting close to 10 a.m.

When Joshua finally arrived, White said, everyone in the room “was really enthusiastic about it and shocked.”

“He was worth the wait,” she said.
