Use cameras at railroad crossings
My commute takes me across railroad tracks in Mundelein (Rt. 45, Rt. 176 or Hawley Street) and Vernon Hills (Rt. 45 near Deerpath Drive) twice a day, and every day, I watch cars in back of me stop on the tracks simply because they followed the car in front of them.
So why not put red light cameras at every railroad crossing? Talk about revenue enhancement!
Drivers would have little to argue about when their car is photographed sitting on the tracks. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
