Another suspect charged in Chicago park shooting
Another suspect has been charged in the shooting in a Chicago park that left 13 people injured.
Police said Wednesday that 20-year-old Quinton M. Humphries of Chicago is charged with three counts of first-degree attempted murder, three counts of aggravated battery, and discharge of a firearm for the Sept. 19 shooting. He is at least the seventh person charged in the attack.
Police have said the attack was led by a gang member seeking revenge after being grazed in the leg hours earlier. Two gunmen armed with an AK-47-style assault rifle and a .22-caliber revolver fired into a crowded basketball court.
The Cook County state’s attorney’s office said that a judge ordered Humphries held without bail on Wednesday. It was not immediately clear If Humphries had an attorney.
