Can you help Glen Ellyn firefighters?

As a Glen Ellyn resident, I’ve donated annually to the volunteer fire department. I noticed a recent article that in 2012 donation requests were mailed to 11,400 residents and 6,000 business locations; returns totaled 2,780 residents and only 67 business locations.

Consider folks, if support does not improve that will tax us to support a paid workforce, requiring not only salaries and pensions for three 8 hour shifts, plus funds for equipment. It’s my understanding that 3,500 fire department responses will occur in 2013.

Thanks to the volunteers, they will be there for you and the 6,000 business locations. Will you be there for them to support the monetary needs?
