North Aurora firefighters host turkey raffle Nov. 22-23

The North Aurora Firefighters Association will hold its annual turkey raffle from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, Nov. 22, and Saturday, Nov. 23.

The raffle will be held in the apparatus storage and maintenance building just north of Station 1 on Monroe Street.

Firefighters will be raffling off turkeys, hams, steaks, and pork chops both evenings. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the night with free soda pop for designated drivers. We will also have great entertainment with a DJ providing music both nights.

There will be a grand prize cash drawing on Saturday night as well as progressive cash drawings on both Friday and Saturday. Tickets for the grand prize drawing are $10.00 each and are being sold in advance by any of the North Aurora firefighters or at the fire station.

All proceeds from this event will go back into the community by donating to organizations and events such as Operation Christmas, the North Aurora Pet Parade, North Aurora Mothers Club, North Aurora Lions Club, North Aurora Baseball Association, and public education and scholarship programs.

North Aurora residents are not the only ones who are invited to enjoy the festivities, as this event is open to everyone in the area. This is a great opportunity to gather with family, friends, and neighbors while also taking part in a wonderful tradition of over 50 years! For information, call the fire department at (630) 897-9698.
