Reasons Hillary Clinton shouldn’t be president
This is in response to a letter from Jim Peterson (“Hillary Clinton should be the next president,” Oct. 17). 1) The writer mentions no specific accomplishments. There aren’t any. 2) There is, however, one major disaster during her stint as secretary of state — Benghazi. 3) Mrs. Clinton showed complete and utter contempt for the brave American military that was protecting her right to make her insidious, contemptible statements, “What difference does it make now?” Ask the parents and family of the dead Americans who believe in the honor and respect of the United States of America.
4) Isn’t it the president’s top priority as commander in chief to protect American lives? Mrs. Clinton obviously does not agree. Immediately following the Benghazi tragedy, the American people were insulted with lies and cover-ups from Mrs. Clinton’s State Department. 5) Mrs. Clinton as president, using Bill Clinton (who, incidentally, was impeached for lying to a grand jury) as her top adviser, would be a disaster. Remember the U.S. was attacked four times while Bill Clinton was president, and his distaste for performing his job as commander in chief ultimately led to the tragedy on Sept. 11, 2001.
We need a president who strongly believes in capitalism as the road to more jobs and a president who firmly wants to return respect to America and our beloved Constitution.
