Palatine man charged with sexual assault

A 19-year-old Palatine man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
Cory M. Bucy is being held at Cook County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
Prosecutors say the girl disclosed to her therapist that the two engaged in sexual activity last April. The therapist contacted the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. During an investigation, the girl was interviewed by professionals with the Children’s Advocacy Center in Hoffman Estates, said Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Katherine Levine.
Bucy next appears in court on Nov. 22.
