Health insurance just got more expensive

I just received my notice of renewal for health insurance to comply with “Obamacare.” I am 63 years old and work part time for a dermatologist. My husband is retired and is on Medicare. I received my new options for health insurance for over $840 per month for Blue Cross Blue Shield with a $1,750 deductible. That is a 100 percent increase. To lower it to $520 a month premium I’d have to go to a $6,000 deductible.

What is more aggravating is that I have to carry maternity coverage and child coverage. Needless to say I don’t need this in my stage of life. What is wrong with this picture? I saved all my life to retire, and the government is taking it all away with their “let’s take care of everyone on the backs of middle class America.”
