Show allegiance to U.S., not to one party

It seems that some politicians in Washington (the Tea Party in particular) aren’t citizens of the United States anymore. They’re citizens of their own party with more allegiance to that party than to the country they were elected to represent. What’s happening to our democracy? They all need to stop being Republicans and stop being Democrats and start being Americans, with the interest of the country their first priority.
