Ÿ Jose J. Hernandez, 21, of the 400 block of Raymond Street, Elgin, was charged with burglary and criminal damage to property after he broke the glass of the back door of a residence in the 900 block of Lavoie Avenue Sept. 28, court records show. Hernandez is next due in court Thursday.

Ÿ DeAngelo L. Brown, 26, of the 1700 block of Berkley Street, Elgin, was arrested Wednesday and later charged with battery after a victim reported Brown punched him in the face, according to a police report.
