Park Forest shootings believed to be murder-suicide

Authorities say a man and a woman were found shot to death in their bedroom at a home in the South suburbs early Monday in what appears to be a murder-suicide.

The Sun-Times Media Group reported that the couple’s daughter found the bodies in Park Forest.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office says 32-year-old Tajuanna Davis and 33-year-old Gerard Jimerson were both found dead with gunshot wounds to the head at their home in Park Forest.

Park Forest police have not said who they believe fired the shots. The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force and the Illinois State Police are assisting with the investigation.
