Lake Barrington retail center groundbreaking

KVM Development will break ground Wednesday, Oct. 16, to mark the start of construction on phase I of Pepper Park of Lake Barrington. Located at 22000 N. Pepper Road, the 14,900-square-foot retail shopping center will feature Pepper Park Coffee, a specialty coffee shop and cafe. Phase I of Pepper Park of Lake Barrington is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2014. Pepper Park Coffee will host a grand opening shortly thereafter. KVM Development CEO Ken Malo, a longtime Barrington resident, is also the founder and president of Swiss Automation Inc. A Barrington fixture since 1970 when it began as a one-man shop, Swiss Automation now employs more than 180 people in a state-of-the-art facility at 1020 Northwest Hwy.
