Bake your best batch of brownies for Batavia contest

Submitted by Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation

The Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation will hold its ninth annual Brownie Bake-Off at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at Pal Joey’s Restaurant, 31 N. River St. in Batavia. The public is welcome to attend.

The Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation has once again enlisted Batavia city officials to taste the entries and select a winning brownie recipe. Community relations chairwoman Jenn Baerren has brought together a panel that reaches across the infrastructure of our community.

Homemade brownies featuring a variety of ingredients and themes will be baked by members of the Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation to celebrate both the all-American brownie and home baking.

The winning brownies, including the recipe, will be featured at the Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation’s 29th annual Autumn Arts & Craft Show Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Batavia High School. Proceeds from the sale are distributed to local charities whose work improves the lives of children, mothers and families in the Fox Valley community.
