Make a cycling “pit stop” in Busse Woods Saturday

The Friends of Cycling in Elk Grove will host a Bike Pit Stop from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Busse Woods.

Representatives from the group will have a table along the bike trail where they will be passing out lemonade, fitting helmets, filling tires, lubing chains and discussing bike and trail safety with trail users.

The Cook County Forest Preserve Police also will provide helmets to those biking without one. It’s the Friends of Cycling’s fourth “pit stop” in the past year.
