Ayers’ past misdeeds grossly understated

To limit William Ayers’ infamy to “setting off a few small bombs ... in protest of the Vietnam War” in your Sept. 21 article on Elgin Community College’s decision to invite Ayers to speak there is either abject ignorance of history or journalistic malfeasance. What is your paper’s motto again?
