Libertyville girl wins Animal Warrior Award

Lauren Chapman, 14 of Libertyville, received the first AEAR Animal Warrior award. The award is presented to an AEAR Youth Club member who shows consistent, professional and hard working participation in programs. The winner also represents compassion towards people and animals.

“Lauren rarely misses a volunteer opportunity, whether it's helping at a adoption event, visiting residents at an area nursing home or cleaning out a garage or storage area. She puts in 100% effort and is always the first to arrive and the last to leave. She follows directions exactly as told and is a wonderful representative of AEAR. She is kind and compassionate to all the animals that she comes in contact with. We are very proud to award her our first year's Animal Warrior award,” said Sandy Kamen Wisnieski, Executive Director of Animal Education Animal Rescue (AEAR).

Lauren Chapman was surprised with her award during our Day at the Vet event in September. She received a certificate and a heart-shaped necklace that says, “Animal Warrior.”
