Property tax appeal seminar in Des Plaines

Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak is holding a property tax appeal seminar co-sponsored by Fifth Ward Alderman James Brookman 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at Des Plaines City Hall, 1420 Miner St. The hourlong session will educate taxpayers on how to file a successful tax appeal. Taxpayers will have an opportunity to work with staff from the Board of Review to address their specific questions and concerns. Taxpayers are asked to bring a copy of their most recent tax bill. Appeal forms also may be picked up at the Board of Review, 118 N. Clark St., Room 601, Chicago, or the Maine Township Assessor’s Office, 1700 Ballard Road, Park Ridge.
