Arlington event raises money to fight lung cancer

Several hundred participants are expected at Breathe Deep Lake Arlington, 9 a.m. to noon Sunday, Sept. 22, to raise awareness for lung cancer and money for lung cancer research. This event was started by Naomi Moderick, 77, who lost her son, Mark Segal, 55, of Wheeling, to lung cancer only three months after he was diagnosed. The event features musical entertainment, refreshments, activities, raffles, and a 2- and 4- mile walk around Lake Arlington in Arlington Heights. For more information on the walk, go to www.lungevity.org/lakearlington.
