Golf outing raises $185,000 for CASA Kane County

CASA Kane County’s 10th annual Golf for a Child Invitational was held Aug. 26 at the Royal Fox and St. Charles Country Clubs.
The event attracted 264 golfers from throughout the Chicago area and raised $185,000 for the Court Appointed Special Advocate program in Kane County that serves children who have been abused or neglected.
The organization honored Gary Hansberger of St. Charles for his long-standing and generous support of the organization.
The golf outing featured two hole-in-one cars from Gerald Auto Group and Fox Valley Buick GMC along with a grand raffle and a “Tin Cup” silent raffle. The first place team at St. Charles Country Club included Adam Hansberger, Ed Arnieri, Eric Soderholm, and Randy Spring.
The winning team at Royal Fox Country Club included Dick Masters, Val McPeak, Fran McMahon, and Johan Sjorgen.
Gary Hansberger won the first prize in the grand raffle, a full set of PING golf clubs and bag.
