Community drug awareness forum:

The Lake County Sheriff’s office will host two Community Drug Awareness forums next week. The first is Monday, Sept. 23 at Ela Area Public Library, 275 Mohawk Trail, Lake Zurich, and the second is at Vernon Area Public Library, 300 Olde Half Day Road in Lincolnshire. The events run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will include an update on public safety legislation, as well as presentations from area law enforcement officials and the families who have directly witnessed the impact drugs have had on their loved ones.
