Fred Fest to benefit Lake County forest preserves

Fred Fest, a showcase of local musical talent to benefit the Preservation Foundation of the Lake County Forest Preserves, will be held from 1 p.m. until dusk Sunday, Sept. 15, at Fox River Preserve & Marina, 28500 W. Roberts Road in Port Barrington.

The musical acts will be Sixteen Candles, Pat McKillen, Sons of Bildor, Rod Tuffcurls & the Benchpress and Hudson McCoy. Celebrity chef Jaime Laurita will serve as master of ceremonies for a day of fun and great music.
