Senior learn to stay connected to family and friends at Sept. 12 demonstration

State Rep. Marty Moylan (D-Des Plaines) and AT&T Illinois representatives will host an event from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at Des Plaines’ Frisbie Senior Center, at 52 E. Northwest Hwy., to help seniors learn how to use their cellphones and other new technologies to stay connected with family and friends near and far.

The event, called “Keeping Seniors Connected to Family and Friends: A fun and free discussion helping seniors use wireless phones and new technology” will connect AT&T Wireless experts with seniors at the Frisbie Senior Center in Des Plaines for a demonstration and discussion about new wireless technologies that allow people to stay connected with loved ones.

“These new technologies are exciting and they can go a long way in helping seniors stay connected to family and friends,” Moylan said. “This event assists seniors and their friends in learning about new technologies together.”

“At AT&T, we are excited about delivering new technologies to help improve seniors’ lives like wireless phones, tablets and wireless medical devices, like pacemakers,” said Pawel Dziobon, External Affairs director, AT&T Arlington Heights. “We want to help seniors use these wireless devices because it opens up a world of opportunities to them. It’s really exciting for everyone.”

For information or to RSVP, contact Moylan’s constituent service office at (847) 635-6821 or email staterepmoylan@att.net.
