Visit the Holmstad Bazaar Oct. 5

Submitted by The Holmstad Residents Association

The 36th annual Holmstad Bazaar is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, in the retirement community's Town Center, at the corner of Route 31 and Fabyan Parkway in Batavia.

The fundraising event features 14 shops, including a food court.

A white and burgundy handmade afghan will be raffled off. It is 48 by 60 inches.

Among the items for sale are homemade baked goods, books, jewelry, art works, crafts, plants, cards and a flea market style This ‘n' That Shop.

Profits go to meet community needs through the Residents Association. Those previously benefiting from the money raised include the Batavia Fire Department. Financially challenged residents within the Holmstad community benefit through the Good Samaritan Fund. Also, graduation gifts and college scholarships are awarded to high school seniors employed at the Holmstad.
