Kiwanis Kids’ Day Peanut Sale Sept. 27-28

On Friday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28, Kiwanis members, their families and friends will be out on the street corners and in the malls of Palatine selling peanuts for the annual Kiwanis Kids’ Day.

Peanut Day is Kiwanis’ largest event. All the helpers are volunteers. Their only expense is the wholesale price of the peanuts they sell. Local businesses are being asked to help the community through the Kiwanis underwriting program. A donation of $40 or any additional amount can reduce costs to nothing, leaving every penny collected going for the needs of the community.

The Palatine Kiwanis Club supports over 30 local, state, and national charities with the funds they raise during the year. The Palatine Kiwanis Foundation benefits the children, disabled, and elderly of Palatine, especially important this year.

Community youth organizations and charities are welcome to join us in this effort, and to share in the income from peanut sales.

The contact person for the Peanut Day event is Jim Parker, (847) 358-6652.
