Batavia chamber offers events for business owners

Submitted by Batavia Chamber of Commerce

Caught up in corporate branding messages, business professionals don’t always think about their personal mission statement. Perhaps they should.

During September, in one of the events planned by Batavia Chamber of Commerce, attendees will take a closer look at personal mission statements.

On Thursday, Sept. 12, author and business consultant Al Ritter will lead a Lunch & Learn session at The Holmstad, 700 W. Fabyan Parkway, Batavia.

“The Secret to Thriving in Life: Your Personal Mission Statement” costs $15 for both Batavia Chamber members and nonmembers alike, and begins at 11:30 a.m.

According to Ritter, a personal mission statement uniquely expresses you. To do a reality check on where you are headed, sign up to attend on the Batavia chamber’s website, www.bataviachamber.org/programs, or call (630) 879-7134 by Tuesday, Sept. 10.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, Art Van Furniture will host a grand opening and ribbon-cutting event at 9 a.m. at its Batavia location, 165 N. Randall Road. Bring the entire family to enjoy a DJ, face painting and clowns creating balloon sculptures.

To get their latest news, “like” Art Van Furniture on Facebook.

Whether you would like to lunch, welcome one of the newest Batavia retailers or get involved with legislative affairs, there are plenty of worthwhile events offered by the Batavia Chamber of Commerce during September.

For information about the Batavia Chamber of Commerce or any of its events, call Roger Breisch at (630) 879-7134 or visit www.bataviachamber.org.
