Friends of Des Plaines Library fall used book sale Oct. 4-6

The Friends of the Des Plaines Public Library will hold their annual Fall Used Book Sale from October 4 – 6, 2013 at Des Plaines Public Library.

The sale opens Friday night, October 4 from 4 - 6 pm for members only. Friends of the Library memberships may be purchased at the door for $5.

The sale will be open to the public on Saturday October 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday October 6 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Bargains galore will include fiction, non-fiction, mysteries, romance, children's books and more. The Friends provide a large selection of books for $1 for hard cover books and 50 cents for soft cover pocket books. The children's books are 50 cents for hard cover and 25 cents for soft cover books.

Also, the Friends provide some better and newer books, table books, etc. for slightly higher prices. There is a variety of books and material for all interested parties.

The proceeds from the all-volunteer Friends of the Library book sales are used to provide library programs, equipment, movies, summer reading program support , etc. to better serve the community.
