‘Back on Broadway’ opens Batavia Fine Arts Center season

After enjoying a successful inaugural season, the Batavia Fine Arts Centre announces its lineup of shows for the upcoming year. Six performances are featured in the 2013-2014 season. All shows start at 7:30 p.m.

“Back on Broadway” opens the Touring Series on Saturday, Sept. 7 with a multitalented cast of 10 star-struck performers who arrive in the Big Apple looking for a big break on Broadway by performing the most popular scenes and songs from the latest Broadway hits.

The renowned Osmond Brothers will illuminate the stage on Friday, Oct. 25 thrilling the audience with their close harmonies and diverse musical styling. The Osmonds Brothers, featuring Jimmy, Merrill and Jay, perform all styles of music from barbershop, pop, rock and country.

The new year will welcome the dynamic vocal arrangements of the all-female group, A Cappella Couture, whose contagious grooves and stunning vocals are sure to delight on Saturday, Jan. 18.

Saturday, Feb. 8 brings a hilarious and heartwarming solo performance to the stage with the arrival of “Say Goodnight Gracie,” a long-running hit Broadway play about the world’s favorite and funniest centenarian, George Burns.

On Saturday, April 12, the center welcomes the talented all-male string quartet, Well Strung, featuring classical musicians who mesmerize the audience with a range of classical and contemporary compositions.

The season closes with an opportunity to step back in time and experience one of the world’s greatest musical groups as 4 Lads from Liverpool replicate the distinct sounds, mannerisms, energy, and charm of the Beatles on Saturday, June 21.
