Nursing assistant in Bartlett charged with punching woman

Bartlett police have charged a nursing assistant from Addison with the battery of an 85-year-old woman who lives in the retirement community where she works.

Marquita M. Howard-Myles, 29, of the 600 block of North Meadows Road in Addison faces a felony charge of aggravated battery after she was accused of punching the victim in the chest Thursday morning at the Clare Oaks Retirement Community, 829 Carillon Drive in Bartlett.

The victim did not require additional medical treatment.

Police took Howard-Myles to the Cook County Courthouse in Rolling Meadows for a bond hearing.
