Wheeling resident sings at fundraiser

Wheeling resident Rick Rosen sang recently with Chicago The Band at Ravinia in Highland Park as part of the first fundraiser for the Ron and Vicki Santo Diabetic Alert Dog Foundation.

Rosen and the band sang “If You Need Me Now” at the sold-out fundraiser.

The foundation provides trained canine companions to diabetics who do not get symptoms of dropping sugar levels in their bloodstream or those who are too young to recognize the symptoms.

The dogs give peace of mind to the parents of diabetic children knowing their child will be guarded even while they are asleep.
