ID cards needed for voters, too

I read in the Daily Herald that the Rivers Casino is Des Plaines is to host “The Price Is Right” tryouts. Naturally there are age requirements, and one needs a valid identification card as proof. So, you need a photo ID card to have a chance to get on a game show, but you don’t need one to vote. What is wrong with this picture?
