Children’s Advocacy Center benefit

The Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center’s first “Color the Park” Family Fun 5k run/walk is 10 a.m. at Viking Park in Gurnee on Saturday, Sept. 7. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in white as bursts of powdered color are launched at them throughout the trail. Guests and participants are also invited to enjoy food, face painting, balloons and games. Registration is $10 for individuals and $20 for families. Same-day registration is $15 for individuals and $25 per family. All proceeds will benefit The Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center, which provides support and services to child victims of abuse.
