Palatine police launch traffic safety campaign
The Palatine Police Department announced it’s participating in the Labor Day Holiday Traffic Safety Campaign in an effort to keep drivers and passengers safe through aggressive traffic enforcement measures.
Now through Sept. 2, police will saturate roadways with officers looking for impaired drivers, occupant protection and speeding violators. Police also will conduct a roadside safety check late Friday, Aug. 23, into the next morning near Algonquin and Roselle roads.
The campaign is possible with assistance of grant funding provided by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
