Blame Democrats for sequestration

In response to comments submitted by Tom Teune: Mr. Teune, your letter is misleading — the sequestration is not the fault of the Republican members of Congress.

Sequestration was proposed by the president, made part of a budget bill agreed to by the Democrats, and signed into law by the president.

Consider that the current president is arguably the most divisive and polarizing in our nation’s history and is incapable and/or unwilling to negotiate and compromise. “My way or the highway” is no way to govern, and the results, as you point out, are having a damaging effect on the country.
