Mobley on the move, to Libertyville

Round Lake’s loss is Libertyville’s gain.

Libertyville boys basketball coach Scott Bogumil has confirmed that 6-foot-3 forward/guard James Mobley has transferred in from Round Lake.

As a freshman last season, the athletic Mobley earned honorable mention All-North Suburban Conference honors and was regularly praised by former Panthers coach Jim Roberts, who has moved on to Jacobs.

Mobley’s season highlights included a 26-point effort against Vernon Hills and a 23-point outing against North Chicago. He’ll join a Libertyville team that already boasts high-scoring guard Jack Lipp, 6-8 forward Joe Borcia and promising guard Drew Cayce.
