Donny and Marie bring Christmas tour to Rosemont

Donny and Marie Osmond are bringing Christmas cheer to the area once again, but this time in a bigger venue.

“The Donny & Marie Christmas Tour 2013” has announced a Rosemont date at the Allstate Arena at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, as part of a 15-city tour that launches on Dec. 1 in Tulsa, Okla.

The brother-and-sister duo famed for pop and country hits and for hosting their own variety show in the late 1970s previously performed a Christmas show on Broadway in 2010 and at Chicago's Oriental Theatre in 2011.

Tickets to “The Donny & Marie Christmas Tour 2013” go on sale to the general public on Friday, Aug. 16, and range from $49.50 to $125 before taxes and fees. Tickets will be available at ticketmaster.com and by calling (800) 745-3000.
