Heh honors at Congregation Beth Judea
The students of Congregation Beth Judea’s Heh Class (seventh-graders) were honored for the completion of their regular religious school studies.
This program recognized and celebrated the Heh students’ progression through Religious School.
Students shared some favorite memories from their five years of religious school and Rabbi Jeff Pivo and Anna Besser, the religious school eduction director, spoke and handed out certificates. The parents recited blessings for their children and a special dinner followed. This ceremony marked their passage to the new “Beyahad: Together,” a new Northwest Suburban community high school education program whose program and curriculum which will be rotated between Congregation Beth Judea, Congregation Beth Am and Temple Chai.
The Heh graduating students are: Rachel Aranyi, daughter of Jill Aranyi of Buffalo Grove; Garrett Cohen, son of Janice and Allen Cohen of Mundelein; Ariana Crystal, daughter of Tracy Crystal of Buffalo Grove; Brielle Ernsteen, daughter of Jayme and Gary Ernsteen of Buffalo Grove; Eli Goldman, son of Ana and Fred Goldman of Mundelein; Ari Gordon, son of Diane and Howard Gordon of Buffalo Grove; Daniel Gottfried, son of Rachel and Marc Gottfried of Hawthorn Woods; Justin Gould, son of Camy and Alan Gould of Long Grove; Andrew Greenberg, son of Michele and Jeffrey Greenberg of Arlington Heights; Izaac Kahn, son of Amy and Joshua Kahn of Buffalo Grove; Eli Movitz, son of Michael Movitz of Buffalo Grove; Ilyssa Muise, son of Wendi Muise of Buffalo Grove and Robert Muise of Buffalo Grove; Hannah Neubauer, daughter of Helaine Katz-Ratskoff and Alan Ratskoff of Buffalo Grove; Samuel Nusinow, son of Elise and Edward Nusinow of Buffalo Grove; Aaron Riber, son of Elene and Vadim Riber of Long Grove; Joshua Riber, son of Elene and Vadim Riber of Long Grove; Hannah Salzberg, daughter of Sheri and Herman Salzberg of Buffalo Grove; Kyle Salzberg, son of Sheri and Herman Salzberg of Buffalo Grove; Haley Schwartz, daughter of Faith Schwartz of Arlington Heights; Courtney Shub, daughter of Stacy and Arlen Shub of Buffalo Grove; Zachary Weil, son of Sharon and Michael Weil of Buffalo Grove; Ari Weiss, son of Deborah and Mitchell Weiss of Buffalo Grove; Camey Zussman, daughter of Sandra and Corey Zussman of Buffalo Grove.
Beth Judea looks forward to their continued participation in Jewish studies at the synagogue.
Beth Judea’s Education director is Anna Besser; its vice president of education is Gary Ernsteen. Beth Judea (Conservative/Masorti) is located, on Route 83 and Hilltop Road, in Long Grove, and has been serving the Northwest Suburban community since 1968.
