Getting Started in Online Genealogy

A panel of CAGGNI's own members will outline the essentials one needs to get started in his or her family history search. CAGGNI is the Computer-Assisted Genealogy Group of Northern Illinois. The panel discussion is free and open to the public.

Panel members Skip Bieber, Larry Olson, Nancy Reece, and Jacquie Schattner will cover the basic principles, software for enterring a family tree, the essentials repositories for genealogy data, the online community, and even some pitfalls you will need to know about.

The panel discussion will be held at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, 500 N. Dunton St., Arlington Heights, 2 blocks west of Arlington Heights Road, from 10:30 to 12:30 on Saturdy August 17. NOTE: THIS IS A CHANGE OF VENUE FOR THIS MONTH ONLY?
