If the recent trend holds, 20 percent of adults in the U.S. will visit an emergency room this year.
For adults, the most common reason for a trip to the ER is injury, but for children it’s illness, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
When’s the last time you were in an emergency room? Were you hurt or sick? Or were you there with a family member?
How long was the wait? Did you end up being admitted to the hospital?
