Campaign is over, Mr. President

Campaign is over, Mr. President

Would someone please tell President Obama that the campaign is over? I was firmly convinced that Bill Clinton expressly defined presidential arrogance, but this president takes the cake.

The only thing President Obama knows how to do is get out on the campaign trail. He is so infatuated with himself that he just can’t wait to get in front of the crowd and the cameras. Why doesn’t he try being presidential for a change — which requires strong leadership and the ability to achieve consensus on the key issues that face our country.

Instead, defiant partisanship, racial divisiveness, refusal to take responsibility, lack of leadership and overall socialist agenda is taking this country into a serious tail spin.

I’m not sure how long it’s going to take before average Americans begin to take notice and do something about all of this. We don’t have to look any further than Cook and DuPage counties — never mind Springfield — to see that this great nation of ours in deep trouble.

It is true, this type of trouble didn’t just happen in the past five years of the Obama administration — it took decades and both parties to create. However, President Obama was supposed to be the guy to fix all of this.

He campaigned his entire political career and criticized the leaders of the day and promised he would be different. Well, he’s been different all right. As it turns out, there isn’t much “hope,” but there’s been plenty of “change.” I hope all of you that voted for him and all of the other liberals that are systematically destroying our great nation are happy with your choice.

I’m just waiting to see how long it’s going to take before all of you wake up and smell the coffee.
