Artist Leslie Outten Work on Display in August at the Patty Turner Center

Each month, artists of all different genres have works displayed on the “Art Walls” at Patty Turner Center. During the month of August, the Patty Turner Center is featuring the exquisite oil paintings of long-time Deerfield resident and Artist Leslie Outten. Outten's exhibit features more than 25 master oil works on display. An Artist's Reception was held on Friday evening August 2 at the Center. The public is welcome to view the work, during the Center's regular hours.

According to her bio., “Outten, began her fine art career later in life and received degrees in Illustration and Painting from the Academy of Art in Chicago. She continued developing her skills at the renowned Palette and Chisel in Chicago. She is an adventurous plein air painter who seeks out interesting sights of the city and landscape beyond. Her floral and figurative art also expresses her focus on the effect of light, value and color upon her subject. Outten's works have been accepted in juried shows and is collected from coast to coast and published. She is a professional and serious interpreter of life who delights in revealing our lives in paint.”
